Ann leads brand, design and marketing at IP Guardian. She created the firm’s identity from the ground up and works with the attorneys across Australia and New Zealand on how the firm presents itself, from the website and client materials to the pitch work behind new business.
What distinguishes Ann is that she has worked inside professional services rather than for them. A dual marketing and trade marks role at Origin IP gave her a working understanding of how an IP practice runs and how clients find their way to one. She went on to spend ten months alongside a design agency on Simpson Grierson’s visual rebrand, then served as the firm’s brand champion through the rollout, carrying the new identity into reports, thought leadership, tenders and the fit-out of the firm’s Wellington office. At Toronto-Dominion Bank she produced portfolio documents for advisors across the branch network and the bank’s wealth and finance publications. Ann is drawn to the systems behind the output, not just the finished piece. It is the part of the work she finds most rewarding.
